Housing investment in Spain reached its highest peak in June with a house sales rise of 19.4%. This increase constitutes the total number of transactions that have been made this year and amounts to 36,856. This is the highest number since 2013, when total transactions amounted to 39,929. Even though June offered a high increase of transactions, the year on year increase was even higher in the previous month, amounting to 24% and reaching a total number of 30,270 transactions.
Statistical data from the National statistics institute further indicate an increase of transactions within specific areas of the country, and the general trend is that increases are happening more in coastal locations rather than inland ones. The regions with the greatest number of house sales transactions include Valencia, Balearic Islands and Canary Islands.
The areas with the most home sales include Andalucía followed by Catalonia, Madrid and Valencia. At a provincial level, the areas with the highest number of transactions include Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante, Malaga and Valencia.
As we could observe, the demand is very high in many of the areas where Housers properties are situated. For more information about current Housers projects, click here!
